Dear guests and friends,

Regrettably, given recent developments surrounding COVID-19, Snowbird Mountain Lodge will be closing to guests until further notice. Our county, as well as others in western North Carolina, are enforcing an emergency declaration order that closes all accommodation businesses as of Monday, March 23, at noon. Graham County will also be closing roads, including the Cherohala Skyway in North Carolina as of March 27. You may view the full order and closures below.

We have been taking the pandemic very seriously and this proactive measure is an extra precaution for the safety of guests, our staff and our neighbors in Robbinsville—a small community with very limited resources.

It is with great consideration and our sincere apology that we have to defer any new arrivals beginning tomorrow, March 23, 2020. Our team is making an exceptional effort to reach out to anyone whose travel plans may be affected which include guests arriving tomorrow until the end of March. We will keep you updated on our reopening, as road closures and restrictions are lifted. We believe if we all stay at home for a short period of time, we will all get back to our daily routine sooner rather than later.

Like you, we’re still figuring all this out.  For all guests who are scheduled to visit us in 2020 and wish to make changes to reservations, we will hold deposits for future travel, with no expiration date. Our updated cancellation policy can be viewed here.

We are incredibly sorry for any inconvenience in your travel plans and appreciate your understanding in this urgent time of national attention. Please know we are always here to assist you with alternative travel arrangements, recommendations and any other questions you may have.

We are hopeful that—with everyone’s participation and community-mindfulness—this situation will be resolved sooner than later and we look forward to welcoming you back and exceeding your expectations in the near future.

Until then, you can follow our daily moment of tranquility on Instagram and Facebook. We expect this to pass quickly and do not anticipate being closed for an extended period of time.

From our hearts to yours, the team at Snowbird Mountain Lodge wishes the best of health, safety, and wellness to all.
