We are finding that the more deliberate we are, the more grounded and clear we become. When we loosen our grip and move in the direction of our “True North” (with intention and presence) we find that we are better able to process the unfamiliar and new. For us to act deliberately requires us to pause and consider all of our options and to move with more confidence and assurance. It’s this realization that inspired us to choose “DELIBERATE” as the word to serve all that we’ve chosen to do with Snowbird as she marks her 80th Anniversary in 2021.
Our guide this year, is deliberate.
We have always felt that Snowbird honors connection- our connection to nature, the forests and mountains around us, connection to the ones we love, and to ourselves. We find ourselves wondering if when the Lodge was originally crafted, the Wolfe brothers imagined it would still be here 80 years later doing the job it was originally designed for. To this day, Snowbird continues to be a destination for couples and friends to celebrate love, laughter, and the fresh, open air of the great outdoors. Our commitment to connection and to the nature that surrounds us remains the heartbeat of what we do, and we are excited to share Snowbird and her 80th anniversary with you.
We have turned the page on 2020 and while the Lodge has been at rest this winter, it continues to go through thoughtful changes. This year when you visit, there are new updates honoring the always beautiful and timeless Snowbird. New furniture in the great room, upgraded place settings in the dining room, elegant dining chairs, replaced decks, a new firepit for gathering, lounging and picnicking, along with resurfaced tennis courts complete with pickleball, are only some of the work taking place prior to our February 5 opening.
The Forest Chapel, a new sacred spot on the property meant to unite love and commitment, and the exciting addition of Snowbird’s private label wine (a French Chardonnay, French Pinot Noir, and our very own bubbles), along with a new Snowbird beer on draft- are all a part of preserving the wild and free spirit here on the mountain. Behind the scenes our team has been busy planning, building, and getting ready, we are so excited to be able to share this special year with friends, some new, some old….like you. We look forward to welcoming you soon and for all that is ahead.
