There is a strong hint of it in the air. I felt it this morning as I walked outside. A chill…a briskness that let’s us know that fall is close at hand. As I drove back towards the Lodge from taking Elizabeth to school in Robbinsville this morning I paused as I drove by the lake. The fog was lifting off of the water..it is the first hint of cooler weather and that the leaves will be changing colors soon….
September approaches and with it not only will the weather continue to shift, but so will the Lodge. The last of our holiday BBQ’s will be on Labor Day with music by our fabulous duo – Lou and Lynn Wamp playing their strings. Then come the fall wildflower walks with Nancy & John Rennie discovering the Joe Pie, Turks Cap Lily and other fabulous fall blooms. Last for the month will be birder Aaron Steed as he plots the fall migration..all in all, a fabulous lineup for the month.
I hope that this note finds you ready for the season change and the beauty that is yet to come….As always, the dogs, team and I look forward to greeting you and celebrating the magic that is the change of seasons.
